How to get an iPad For $250…
…Ok, so maybe not an iPad, but how about an Android powered 7″ touchscreen display (with 1024×600 resolution)?
As of now it looks like Apple’s iOS operating system and it’s devices (iPad, iPhone, Touch, Nano’s, etc) have the lead. But thanks to the AT&T exclusivity (up until Feb 10th 2011) on the iPhone and iPad. Verizon has had to put all their eggs in the Android basket.
This push for Android devices by T-mobile, Sprint, and Verizon has done great things for the Android Market (Android’s version of the App Store) and there is is pretty healthy selection of apps available.
In this video I am showing you how I unlocked (rooted) the $250 Barnes & Nobles “Nook Color” I got from my wife for Christmas and installed some common applications:
- Angry Birds Game
- Wells Fargo
- Kindle for Android
- and more
So check out the video and then let me know what you think below in the comments. Do you think Android will dethrone Apple? Or do you think the $499 16gb WiFi iPad is still a better tablet solution?
